An Introduction

The world is shifting—economically, politically, and culturally. As we navigate these turbulent times, it is imperative that we take a second look at how we consume, create, and express ourselves through fashion.

A Legacy of Resilience

WOODROW is named in honor of my great-grandfather, a man who embodied the strength and perseverance of working-class America. He, like so many others, with his unwavering commitment to hard work inspired generations.

He taught the founder that true success is not measured by wealth, but by the impact we have on our communities and the values we uphold.

This philosophy drives our mission at WOODROW, where we strive to honor the labor and dedication of those who came before us. Each piece we create is a tribute to their sacrifices and a reminder that fashion can be a force for good, fostering connections and celebrating diverse American stories woven into the fabric of our lives.

American Heritage Rooted in DEI

In these turbulent times, it’s more important than ever to confront and challenge the recent decisions by our current administration and large corporations choosing to distance themselves from their commitments to DEI. Let’s be clear — this denouncement continues a long history of exploiting Black and Brown bodies to uphold ideas and images they never truly intended to stand behind.

Because of this, it’s critical for Black and Brown founders to claim space, prioritize DEI on their own terms, and actively dismantle the illusion about who DEI was meant to serve — and the lasting benefits it can provide to institutions when centered with integrity. At our core, we are committed to building a brand that uplifts and invests in Black and Brown talent, from modeling and design to production partnerships and leadership. This isn’t a trend for us — it’s a commitment rooted in legacy, community, and the future we’re building together.

The State of Fashion: Fast vs. Intentional

At the heart of WOODROW lies a commitment to transparency, accountability, and intentionality. We believe consumers deserve to know the origins of their clothing — the materials used, the hands that crafted them, and the communities those choices impact.

That’s why we’re proud to source C/O: 100% sustainable fabrics for our debut collection. Our selections include premium cotton jersey knit with a high GSM for durability and structure, rich waffle knits for texture and breathability, and heavyweight cotton twill and jersey for our trousers — fabrics chosen not only for their quality but for their environmental responsibility.

In the future, we envision programs for garment recycling, alterations, and upcycling services, giving customers the tools to reshape or reimagine their WOODROW pieces when they’re ready for a new story.

Because real sustainability means staying connected to the clothes we own, respecting the labor and materials that created them, and finding new ways to honor them long after their first wear.

This isn’t just fashion — it’s a relationship. And we’re here for every chapter.

Introducing #ONSITE

#ONSITE is designed to bridge the gap between functionality and style, reflecting the essence of those who labor tirelessly in various fields. Each piece in this collection is thoughtfully crafted to provide comfort and durability, ensuring that it meets the demands of everyday life while maintaining a polished aesthetic.

We believe that clothing should empower individuals, allowing them to express their identity and values without compromise. By infusing our designs with elements that pay homage to traditional workwear, we celebrate the spirit of resilience and innovation that defines American culture.

We invite you to join us in redefining what it means to be fashionable in today's world. By choosing WOODROW, you are not just purchasing clothing; you are making a statement about your values and your commitment to a more sustainable future.

Our community is built on the belief that every garment has a story, and together, we can create a narrative that honors the past while embracing innovation. As we move forward, we encourage you to share your own stories with us, celebrating the unique journeys that shape our lives and the impact we can have when we come together in support of ethical fashion.
