More than Workwear
The first collection is personal.
It’s an amalgamation of many things-memories, lineage, and a heightened sense of identity in these unprecedented times.
WOODROW is a tribute to my great-grandfather, Woodrow Padgett, whose legacy runs from the fields of Warm Springs, Georgia to the deep coal seams of Coalwood, West Virginia.
Like many men of his time, he entered America’s workforce young, working some of the most coal-producing mines in the country. That labor-often invisible, always essential—is etched into the fabric of this brand.
This collection pushes back.
It’s a reclamation. A declaration. A reminder that the backbone of America was built by the working class-particularly Black and Brown laborers-from the fields to the factories, the steel mills to the mines.
Collection Details
At the heart of WOODROW lies a commitment to transparency, accountability, and intentionality. We believe consumers deserve to know the origins of their clothing- the materials used, the hands that crafted them, and the communities those choices impact.
Offerings:
Base Layer Tee— A heavyweight, raw-seam staple designed for layering or standing alone. Soft yet structured.
Woodrow Thermal — A heavyweight, raw-seam staple designed for layering or standing alone. Soft yet structured.
Double Decker Tee — Our take on the perfect everyday tee. Boxy, breathable, and made with an intentionally weighty cotton that gets better over time.
Utility Longs — A long-sleeve essential with subtle stitching details inspired by miner uniforms and early 20th-century undergarments.
Relaxed Trousers — Wide-legged and slightly cropped with a soft drape and utilitarian finish. Offered in garment-dyed and enzyme-washed finishes.
The Work Cut Trouser — A straighter fit, designed for durability and ease. Pairs seamlessly with boots, sneakers, or loafers.
Washed With Intention
Each garment in this release has been tested across multiple custom washes—from enzyme baths to vintage stone finishes. This is more than distressing for aesthetic’s sake. These washes tell a story of wear, of grit, of purpose. No two pieces will feel exactly the same. That’s the point.
You’ll find tones that reference soot, clay, rust, and oil. Finishes that nod to the hands-on history behind American workwear.
But not everything needs to be worn in to make a statement.
Alongside these textured treatments, we’re introducing elevated basics-clean, foundational pieces that anchor the collection. Whether raw or washed, every piece was designed with intention, built for everyday wear, and meant to last.
